RedDirt Trailers New Trailer Warranty Terms and Conditions

Thank you for choosing RedDirt Trailers. This document outlines the terms of our New Trailer Warranty, covering what is included, what is excluded, and your rights under Australian Consumer Law (ACL). By purchasing from us, you agree to the terms outlined here.

  1. General
    REDDIRT CONTRACTORS PTY LTD (ACN 621 658 651) ("RedDirt Trailers") offers this warranty for its trailers ("New Trailer Warranty").

    RedDirt Trailers warrants that trailers purchased from us are free from defects for the duration of the warranty period, as per these terms and conditions. This warranty is in addition to other rights available to you under the ACL.

    "We," "our," or "us" refers to RedDirt Contractors Pty Ltd.
    "You" or "your" refers to you, the customer.

  2. Limited Warranty
    This warranty applies only to the original purchaser of the trailer and is non-transferable. RedDirt Trailers warrants that under normal use, with reasonable care and maintenance, the trailer will be free from manufacturing defects for the duration of the warranty period. Should a defect arise, RedDirt Trailers may, at its discretion, repair, replace, or cover the cost of repair.

    To the fullest extent permitted by law, RedDirt Trailers excludes liability for incidental or consequential damages such as personal injury, property damage, loss of use, towing expenses, or legal costs resulting from the use of the trailer.

  3. Warranty Coverage and Warranty Period
    This New Trailer Warranty covers items manufactured by RedDirt Trailers as follows:

    • Structural Components: The welded and galvanized steel chassis structure is covered by a One (1) Year Warranty.

    • Other Components: All other parts and components, including fixed and added parts like shock absorbers, brakes, electrical components, tub, and lid, are covered by a Six (6) Month Warranty.

    Usage Limitations:

    • Commercial Use: Three (3) Year Warranty.

    • Off-road Use: Six (6) Month Warranty.

    • Hire Applications: Six (6) Month Warranty.

    • Genuine Parts and Accessories: Six (6) Month Warranty, starting from the date of delivery or purchase, whichever applies.

    • Tyres: Tyres are not covered under this warranty; however, they may be covered under the manufacturer’s warranty.

    The warranty period begins on the delivery date of your trailer. A different period may apply to Demonstrator or Loan Trailers.

  4. How to Make a Warranty Claim
    To make a claim under this warranty:

    • Present your trailer to an authorized RedDirt Trailers Dealer at your expense, along with proof of purchase and documentation of ownership.

    • Describe the defect and specify if it pertains to material, workmanship, structural integrity, or a major/minor component.

    • RedDirt Trailers reserves the right to inspect and test defective parts to validate the claim.

    Repairs or servicing performed by third parties will not void your warranty; however, RedDirt Trailers may request additional information for such claims. RedDirt Trailers will not be liable for defects caused by unauthorized repairs or servicing.

    Subject to applicable laws, if you submit incomplete or fraudulent claims, RedDirt Trailers reserves the right to deny reimbursement.

  5. Warranty Exclusions
    The New Trailer Warranty covers only defects arising from manufacturing by RedDirt Trailers and excludes the following:

    • Failure to Maintain: Lack of regular maintenance, improper cleaning, or use of non-approved cleaning agents.

    • Damage: Resulting from accidents, fire, or unauthorized repairs.

    • Force Majeure: Damage from events outside of our control.

    • Non-Compliance with Instructions: Failure to operate the trailer per RedDirt Trailers’ guidelines.

    • Misuse and Overloading: Damage from misuse, abuse, overloading, off-road use beyond design limits, or modification of electrics.

    • Unauthorized Modifications: Alterations, dismantling, or non-approved modifications.

    • Rust and Cosmetic Appearance: Deterioration from rust or surface fading.

    • Tyres: Not covered under this warranty; however, tyre manufacturers’ warranties may apply.

  6. Guarantees under Australian Consumer Law
    Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for major failures and compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Minor failures entitle you to have the trailer repaired or replaced.

    For major defects, RedDirt Trailers will process refunds as required by law. Minor failures are addressed by repair within a reasonable period; if repairs are not feasible, you may cancel the purchase and receive a refund.

    This document does not exclude your rights and remedies under the ACL.

  7. Keeping Your Details Up to Date
    To ensure RedDirt Trailers can contact you regarding any recalls or service campaigns, please update your address with us if you move or sell your trailer by contacting enquiries@reddirtgroup.com.au.

  8. Privacy
    By accepting these terms, you consent to the use and disclosure of your personal information for warranty services and promotional communications from RedDirt Trailers. Please refer to our Privacy Policy at reddirtgroup.com.au for more details.

  9. Governing Law
    These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Western Australia. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of Western Australia.
